What Marilyn means to her fans

Marilyn has had a huge impact not only on the within her generation, but on those that see her as alive through her movies and songs. She helps people to relax, laugh, and to affiliate with her because of her life and who she was. I decided this site would not be complete without asking her fans what makes her so special, and why they hold such a good thought for her in their hearts.

When did I first get started liking Marilyn?

Like last year I was watching one of her movies and I was so surprised on how well she can acted and how pretty she was she started to become one of my idols.

What drew me on to her?

Well, her personality and her looks of charm and how full of life she was as a person.

What does she mean to me?

She means so much to me its way to hard to describe how I feel about her.

What is my own personal view of who she was?

The personal view that I get of her is that she is a real woman and that she had a lot of outlooks on life.

I started liking Marilyn when I was 21 in 1998. I was reading through a magazine, about before they were stars, and saw this photo of her when she was Norma Jeane Baker, and with brown hair. I have this obsession with brunettes, lol. After I saw that picture I fell in love with her.

I liked her as a blonde too, but if you ask me, I'd say she was just as pretty if not prettier with brown hair.

What drew me to her? Her looks. Her personality. I have books about her, and from what I read she seemed to have a great personality.

What she means to me. That’s a hard one. She means so much that I can't even think of one thing on the top of my head.

My personal view, I thought she was real. Personally if you ask me she could kick Britney and Christina's butt. LOL.

I gotta say on that one topic out of Britney or Christina who is the next Marilyn, I'd say none. There is only one Marilyn, and I don't think not one person can be like her.

I have loved Marilyn ever since I was eight years old, if that. I saw her beauty and personality on the screen and I asked myself, “Who is that beautiful creature?” Especially since then and all that I have been through, Marilyn is a source of strength to me, a pillar that stood during rough times. Her and I went though almost exactly the same things in our lives, from issues with our fathers to addictions to pills to trying to find that one man to replace the one that never loved us in our childhood. I look to her, and I feel as if I can make it. I love her.

I was actually first drawn to MM because my childhood idol loved her. So i thought, wow, if she loves her, I'm curious as to why. Then I fell head over heels with MM.

Our similarities, her utter femininity, her ambition.

To me she is a courageous person who worked HARD for what she wanted.

Marilyn means reality to me. She had major flaws on her insides but she was amazingly beautiful on the outside. She wasn't perfect and she had problems. I loved that about her. No one is perfect and Marilyn Monroe shows that in every single way.

Marilyn is a mystery. I think for me that’s her appeal. Is she really this sex bomb she’s portraying or is she a scared little girl putting on a brave face.
And I think she’s the closest a person has gotten to perfection but yet she was so flawed. And that makes me feel better about my flaws.
